Maybe he has. All the players of that generation are playing elsewhere now. I don't think we have a single holdover. If that team stayed together, they would have been absolutely amazing. So many players that didn't work out. Sigh.
I'm glad we have this team though, as we are going to be very good. We just need some injury luck to make up for how unlucky we've been with injuries this last decade.

Repost from earlier today in the 2013-14 thread, but it's more relevant here and is a good read for fans like me who are relatively new to the club.
Arsenal have reached their Promised Land: Why 2014 is such a big year for Arsène Wenger and the Gunners
Arsène Wenger's new contract and Puma's kit deal mark the start of a new era for Arsenal, who always saw 2014 as their chance to compete financially with the richest clubs

I agree. plus, on the sentimental side, he's a lifelong gooner. would be crushing for him.

Gentlemen ... where does everyone buy their jerseys from? The only place I've ever used is worldsoccershop.com. Does anyone have any better options?

I went there yesterday and all I could find was the kits that aren't specifically a player. I'm either an idiot or they don't have those yet.

considering our depth at the two midfield spots, I'd be a little surprised if Zelalem played anything more than a COC role this season.
I can see the biscuits comparison from a distribution standpoint. clearly needs to develop physically and positionally. can continue to work on that though.
in the sense that özil and Rambo will be in their peaks for at least 4 or 5 more seasons, I certainly don't disagree that the easiest spot for him to take would be arteta's.

Good, I thought I was missing something.

probably some sort of lag. they tweeted they were at the kit release last night. they'll have them eventually. arsenal direct works, but it's generally a little bit pricier. I've bought other things from arsenal direct and it worked well.

Glass you can do it at arsenalstoreusa.com ... this might be what Friend was calling arsenal direct. It's Arsenal's official USA store.

So freaking excited to follow Arsenal again! Me and the little lady will be watching a ton this year.

yeah direct might be the English store name. oops.

great interview with arteta.

you've got to think that's zelalem. maybe crowley, but I'm not sure he's training with the first team yet.

There’s a lot of young guys training with you in pre-season, are there any you’d pinpoint as ones to watch this season?
I wouldn’t like to give names but there are a few. Arsenal have always been one of the best clubs in Europe for producing young players and you’ve seen some of them [the new crop] already. I’ve got one which is my preference but I prefer not to give any names. He’s a number 10…

Arsenal direct went on sale last night. No name us 50 euros so about $73. Which isn't bad. Not sure on shipping cost. Just hope 3rd coast get them soon because I'm not sure on what size to get.

Please do. I want to try on the Puma kits. I don't need to walk around in skin tights like I play for Ivory Coast or something.
