i just think that if you are "poor" enough require gubment assistance you shouldnt have the privilege to go to a premium grocery store and over spend the taxpayers money.

on another note if your on food stamps i really believe you should only be able to buy necessities like bread, meat, cheese, fruit juice eggs and the like. just my opinion

Why? Those premium grocery stores want free handouts from the government just as much as Wal-Mart.

They get the same amount of money whether they go to a premium place or not.. They may get less at that store than they would at Walmart.. But they aren't giving them more money to shop somewhere else..

Why is poor in quotations? Are you implying that they might not really be poor? Also, you talk as if they are spending more of the tax payers' money because they are going to a more expensive grocery store. I've never been on food stamps, thankfully, but don't they get a set amount per month, regardless if they use it all on over priced veggies or on half price, expired chicken from winn dixie?
