It's all fine and dandy when one is talking private land. One public, the brown and down guys ruin it for the rest of us.

I'm sure you already know this, but here goes...the game harvest laws are set up to give every hunter an equal opportunity to kill a deer to take home for food. They are not set up to ensure a hunter will kill a mature buck. I would prefer to call them the "if it's legal, it's down" guys. If I hunted on public land, which thank god I don't, I would be more prone to bitch about the state regulations instead of about the guys out there that are killing legal deer.

On a side note, thank god we don't have doe days like we used to. I hardly ever saw deer back in those days. And we see them almost every weekend now.

same off season thread as every year and the same guys saying the same things.

next will be a high fence thread(Millerman vs the world), then a "is a private land deer the same trophy as public" thread.
