re: Is willie Nelson good live?

Saw him twice. Depends on time and place. Very mellow music. He starts with whiskey river and that's about his only lively song. He's best suited for a small outdoor afternoon setting to me. Saw him at the starplex amphitheater in Dallas at night and seemed very dead, and at Billy bobs in Ft Worth which has a small music hall inside the mega honky tonk. BBs was better but still not overwhelmed. I like drinking a beer on my porch etc with him playing more than either.
