That was literally about the point where music and pop culture fell off a cliff. I envying your youth but I feel sorry for you and those your age that your formative years were dominated by crappy "reality" TV and music that was even more horrible than the low quality TV. The only thing that has somewhat hold up our the sitcoms and some decent movies that are still being made. I'm biased but I still believe the 80s was the best decade to be a kid.

Yeah when I was old enough to get into music it was either backstreet boys or blink 182

I lived my kid years in the 80's and my teen years in the 90's. was a great decade for music and fun. Pagers to get in touch. Cordless phones in the house. No cell phone when you went out at night.
I'm glad I didn't have facebook and instagram as a kid.
