And no doubt PP was better than Mo. I dont think thats what the OP is saying.

I don't know what OP you're talking about, because that's EXACTLY what the OP of this thread wrote. I'm an LSU homer. I tend to overrate Tigers. And even I knew the Cowboys had overreached for Claiborne. You can forget all that All SEC and Thorpe shite. The smart guys in the NFL don't pay any attention to that. That's why Heisman trophy winners fall out of the first round from time to time. I laughed my arse off at the idiots two years ago who thought Mo was better than TM. Believe me, I'd take a Mo every year, but not in the top half of the 1st round of the NFL draft.

Bad system. Bad coaches. Bad injuries to front 7. Not many stars will overcome that. May not be any better this year either.

Saying someone is better at 1 thing than another player doesnt mean he is saying they are the better player. Wes Welker is better at shorter routes than Calvin Johnson... doesnt mean Welker is better than Megatron. Kyle Korver is a better 3pt shooter than Lebron James...doesnt mean hes a better player. Vontae Davis was a better cover CB than Richard Sherman was last year.... So was Brandon Boykin. But those guys arent even close to Sherman. Players all have different strengths. Saying a player is better at 1 thing than another player isnt the same as saying hes a better player.

And I posted Mo's accolades because you said that he WASNT in PP's class (as in the past at LSU) and never will be in a million years and that PP is the best DB to come through LSU and 1 of the best in the history of college football and some people dont even realize it....

In the NFL, I completely agree Mo will never ever be on PP's level. Will never sniff that level. And a lot of guys wont. PP has the potential to be 1 of the best CBs the NFL has ever seen and you cant say that about that many guys. However, the OP said Mo was the best pure cover CB we have had AT LSU, ahead of PP and TM. Im not saying that he is or isnt. But he was on the same level as PP was in terms of being a coverage CB. He was excellent at it. So was PP. But its not like PP was on a different level than Mo was in coverage skills while at LSU. And in terms of college career, Mo was 1 of the best CBs we have ever had at LSU. Hes in that same class as Webster, PP, and TM7 when it comes to his college career at LSU.

And all of those "smart guys in the NFL" would have taken Mo in the top half of the 1st round as well, most likely top 10. It doesnt matter that he went to the Cowboys. He was the consensus top CB in that draft, with Gilmore as the #2CB. The #3CB for that draft was Dre Kirkpatrick who went 17th overall. Nobody would have taken him over Mo. Nobody.

What a POS you are. Mo was by far the best corner coming out that year. He had the size, speed, and ball hawking skills that every NFL team coveted. If Dallas didn't get him he was still going to be the first CB taken. Bad GM/owner plus some injuries have been his biggest problem.
