I'm in Texas and my wife found this female Catahoula puppy this morning in Lafayette. No collar or tag, took her to the vet and no chip. We already have 3 dogs, and vet said not to let her play or poop in our back yard since we don't know if she's had her shots. Wife wants her adopted tomorrow against my advice cause I'd be pissed if someone rescued my dog and gave it away the next day. Wife says if they're too irresponsible to put a collar and tag, they don't deserve her.

Sooo, here's my delimma. Napoleon was the first poster to say they wanted her, but two others also volunteered to take her. Should I let the OT decide who gets her?

He was first. If he really wants her, then he should get priority.

Highest post count = less of a life and more time at home with the dog.

Plus I like Napoleon as he posts stuff I agree with. He's a good person

I know Napoleon was first, but I owe it to this pup to find her the best home possible. I think I should consider several things before deciding. Large yard or kennel? Kids? Other dogs? Country or city?

Good consolation prize. That dog carries sticks two times its size. Pretty badass IMO

Sorry, you have been disqualified. That variable of being selfish and having a child means you may not be able to put the dog first. We appreciate you applying and recommend you look into a lame arse cat.

Lol wat. Real qualification should be

Yard size
Vicinity of a park
Experience with dogs
Etc

And I'm willing to bet I have a bigger yard than these other peasants

From Wikipedia:
quote:

They make a good family dog but will not tolerate being isolated, so interaction with the dog is a daily requirement. When a Catahoula is raised with children, the dog believes that it is his or her responsibility to look after and protect those children. When a Catahoula is raised with children, the dog believes that it is his or her responsibility to look after and protect those children. Many owners will say that the Catahoula owns them and they can be insistent when it's time to eat or do other activities. Catahoulas are protective and a natural alarm dog. They will alert one to anything out of the ordinary.[7]

shite, looks like you could have a four legged babysitter!

It's not Rocket Surgery...Napoleon should be first, unless he is Chinese and has a history of eating dogs.
