Ultimately, IR is not a huge problem unless you have a particularly bad sample and you leave it on ESPN or something else with static logos all day. If you watch a variety of material, it's usually not a problem.

Why would I want to worry about this at all??

You think it's acceptable to have to watch the LSU game with shite on the screen because your kids watched cartoon network all day the day before??

So what if it goes away in a week. What happens when you leave the TV on ESPN news all day again a few days later?

Eta go to best buy and look at all their plasmas. I bet you $100 there's more than one with some fricked up IR going on.

Clearly, putting up with it for the PQ advantages is not worth it to you, so like I said to the other guy who redundantly pointed out what I thought I was saying implicitly, that "average people don't want to put up with this shite," and that plasma isn't appropriate for all applications, "Agree".
