Interesting read, I have anywhere from 150-200 bottles in my cellar. Most of them are bombers. I do believe some beers benefit from aging. The when it's gone, it's gone psychology does factor in. I also think a lot of this hoarding could be alleviated if the breweries would release in 12oz bottles instead of bombers. More bottles in theory would mean more people get these rare releases. I personally find myself sitting on bombers because I don't want to consume the whole thing. More bottles in the 12oz format would be a win-win in my eyes.

I was just about to make a comment about how they then couldn't charge $15 for 22 oz bottles, but then I remembered the $7.50 12-oz bottles of Prairie Bomb I have at home

I agree with this. I'd rather have 3 or 4 12oz bottles of a special release than a bomber or two. That way I can enjoy alone or share depending on the circumstances.
