Rickey Jackson
a great, HOF level player, but not really a huge need right now. Same thing regarding Pat Swilling; somebody laughed about his even being mentioned, but he did get 18 sacks one season. If you could add a guy who did that last season, most people would be ecstatic.

Joe Horn in his prime would be huge in our offense. He'd give us the "Devery Henderson deep threat" WR that we are missing, in additon to the "Lance Moore catch everything" guy. Problem is he might be unhappy that the ball gets spread around too much in this scheme, but as a talent he would be awesome.

Dalton Hilliard in his prime would be great, too. He'd be better than Pierre Thomas (at his prime), and also Ingram... he'd be a perfect fit. An inside runner who'd get 1000 yds, and still be a nightmare on screens. Might lead the NFL in total yards. RB by committee has worked decently, but it'd be great to have every option open on every snap.

Sam Mills or Vaughn Johnson at ILB would be a huge upgrade over what we have.

Mel Gray or Beerman returning kicks... is Cooks gonna be that guy? Might be redundant.

Morten Andersen... I'd take him. Kicker might not be the sexy pick, but Morten might be the single best former Saint, by position, that ever played. At his prime, he might be the best kicker ever.

Pat Swilling was a great player and would be a worthy pic except for one thing. He played with Rickie Jackson.

Anyone who would advocate Swilling over Jackson just does not understand football, defense or linebacker play.

Rickie Jackson was the heart and sole of those defenses. Sam Mills was the brains. Swilling was the beneficiary of the greatness around him. He was quick, but you could run right at him all day if Johnson wasn't there in support.
