Yep. It makes one look ignorant to deny NS was the main catalyst to LSU becoming a national power. Were there other factors? Sure, but to say that one of the greatest coaches in CFB history wasn't instrumental, is retarded.

LSU sucess was started by Dinardo when got Kevin Faulk to sign with LSU. Nick comes along after Dinardo was ran out because of his love Lou Teppers failed defensive scheme and makes a name for himself with the talent he inhereted and brought into LSU. LSU made Nick Saban into a legend as much as Saban help keep what Dinardo started and advanced it beyond. With a compatent defensive Coordinator Dinardo would have also continued with the success he started at LSU.
Les Miles has come along after Nick Saban departure and kept the LSU football program sucessfull where it remains to this day. Les has been at LSU for almost ten years so I would say the sucess that the program currently enjoys rest squarely on Les Miles shoulders and Not Nick Saban.

Nah. The article says "ongoing" success. Impossible for Saban to be responsible for that.
As an aside, it's going to be painful to listen to the SEC analysts this Fall. Geez...

He's partially responsible, but this mindset garbage he said is just that, garbage. Also, didn't Saban take Dinardo's recruits and do the exact same thing Les did with Saban's, but even better?

Says the guy who played at Gump U for Satan. This is the same school that claims 73 national titles. Of course he wants saban to get more credit. He put us in elite status but Miles has done it his way
