Yes, that's what people need in a theater; a place where you're supposed to be quiet and calm, alcohol. Brilliant thinking on this one.
Here come the moronic posts from people that have obviously never been to a theater like this.
I've been to several(where I live there are several theaters like this to choose from). Never seen people get wasted at the theater. Nor have I experienced it being louder.
In fact...it was quieter because these theaters don't allow patrons under 18 in the ones that serve alcohol. So no crying babies, no annoying teenager playing with her phone, no obnoxious people being loud in general.

What about people from North Baton Rouge?

Right, so you are in nice, upscale theaters, not a general theater packed to the brim with the masses. Personally, I don't give a shite if they sell alcohol or not, but I've been to Canal Place and comparing them selling alcohol to a regular theater doing it is apples to oranges.

It's not moronic at all. Bottom line is that the VAST majority of theaters aren't in that upper-class, high scale theater level. So outside of those (where I'm sure you can mostly expect people to not be obnoxious drunks), this would do more harm than good IMO.
