Yeah, I like Fallon, but he's a terrible interviewer because he wants to be everyone's friend. I'm not really a Letterman fan, but he's always been infamous for having his guests on edge because he likes asking the tough question and making them uncomfortable. Kimmel is sort of cut from the same cloth, though his approach is more passive aggressive. You'll never, ever see that will Jimmy Fallon.

I remember a pretty awkward kind of cross show interview between Kimmel and the rebooted Leno because I think Kimmel wanted to talk about the Conan situation.

Letterman seemed to turn into a humorless bastard over the years that appears thin-skinned. I'm not sure Dave has the ability to take it if a guest one-upped him. Carson was the master of this.
