probably corrupted.
you could try vlc player,but i would think all would play mp4
now for your settings
without knowing what you are editing with i will list a few settings you can look for in your program.
the other question is what bitrate did you film and what bitrate do you want to render.
i will assume 1080p 59.94 fps
output settings
mp4
1920 x 1080
progressive
aspect-square pixels (1.0)
ntsc
profile - high
level - 4.2 (with 720p i use 4.1)
bitrate encoding - cbr (youtube works better with cbr than variable bitrates)
mbps - 20 (this will depend on what bitrate the original file is and what size you want to make the file.
i usually use between 15-20 depending on the work being done.
entropy coding - cabac
