I had to take both. I do not have a business degree but have been running a multimillion dollar business for 30 years. The accounting was a basic accounting class and was basically re-taught in ACCT 701. I earned an A in both. Badm 701 fundamentals of Econ and Stat was a clarifier course for me. I had been exposed to those terms and seen the math over my career but it pulled it all together from a business school perspective. Both were a lot of work, some of it busy work, but it got me ready for future courses by exposing me to the time sink. This program and certain courses within it can take an incredible amount of time. I'm still running a business, raising kids, chairing multiple charity orgs, etc. Taking those two classes helped me figure out how to set up the rest of my life in order to complete this program. My advice is if you really know the material then bypass but if you have never been exposed or as in my case have been out of school for awhile you should start slow and maybe take one of the refresher classes. In both those classes, I walked away learning something new so I don't regret taking them. Good Luck, O
