Does this program require anything special as far as laptops go? I read the technical requirements online, but I did not fully understand them. Thanks in advance!
I use a MacBook Pro with no issues.
Software-wise: You'll need Office or similar tools.
Make sure your upload speed on your Internet connection is good. I learned first-hand during my first course that Moodle will kick you right out of the test for a bad connection. And it is on you. No help.

When I started the program I was using a 6-ish year old "budget" (around $500 when I bought it) laptop that was pretty run down and I had no issues at all. Due to the price, I expect that my laptop was actually 8-10 year old model. Honestly, the specs weren't that great.
I got a pretty top end laptop after that, and frankly... I don't notice any difference when it comes to the school work or compatibility. I've never actually looked at the tech requirements, but from my personal experience they're definitely pretty low.
That said, I HAVE had issues when my router started to slow down. The stability and speed of your internet connection is FAR more important than your laptop specs.

FIN 701 with Choi use Proctorio or ProctorioU?

Hello!
I just got accepted into the program and am currently registered to take ACCT 701 with Yin and ISDS 705 with M Darban. I recently graduated with a degree in molecular and cell biology so I have a very limited background in the business field. I have been looking through the forum and have not seen much about ISDS705 with M Darban. Does anyone have any advice about this class/ recommendations about this pairing? Thank you to all in advance!

Congrats! I just finished ISDS 705 with Gibbs. I can say it was a lot of work. If you have halfway decent excel skills you will be fine. Gibbs was very straightforward. Depending on the prof 705 could be very hard or very manageable. The text is Systems Analysis 9th Edition. I'm taking Yin next term for Acct 701 as well.
Here is a review of Darban, looks like he got good reviews for 705. LINK

I use a Surface Pro with no issues. Connection speed should be good enough to watch youtube.

I had one video assignment, but cameras are standard these days.
I highly recommend some sort of cloud or backup storage. I lost most of my saved assignments near the end of my program when my laptop crashed. That included a near complete large project which had to be restarted from square one.
Also, a keystroke recording program of some sort. My browser crashed in the middle of an exam consisting of essay questions and I lost all my progress.

Has anyone had ISDS 705 with Mary Lind? I am considering changing to her class and getting out of M. Darban's class. Is this wise/ recommended? Should I just stick with Darban?

Most of the professors being inquired about are fairly new. These folks appeared recently as a result of the change implemented by the school where core classes will be offered every AP. Opinions may be hard to come by, but a forum search may provide tidbits of information. There is also a Facebook group available that may prove useful.

Has anyone had MADM 701 with Nicole Philips ? Will there be lots of writing work or weekly project work as in MADM 760 with Meeks ? Does it contain any activities like forum posting, team assignment and all ? Is she a better choice over Williams ?

From some other feedback from those in my MADM 710 class, she used a very similar syllabus to Williams. I would expect a writing-centric class. MADM 710 has required an assignment weekly, discussion board post/response, and a quiz. Directions for assignments were vague and required a decent amount of research. Grading is slow so you have to cross your fingers that your coach likes what you do. My shortest weekly assignment was 2100 words. If you can take it with someone else, I would.

Khan.
It got tougher. More in-depth with the material. I averaged about a 75% on the exams, but scored high on the activities/case study. Should end up with a low B after final.

Nice. Do you recommend a text book? I was reading comment about how time consuming the course was. Was that your experience?
Thanks for the info!

@Glinda
Thank you for your thoughts !
From other feedback (shared in the board)something like .....
F Williams' MADM 701 was the third-highest workload of the 10 courses I've been in (behind James' MKT 701 and Meeks' MADM 760). Roughly 1700 words per week of writing (weekly writing assignment and weekly discussion assignment), 70 pages of reading, and a fifty question test each week. No final project. Williams hires "coaches" to grade work and their grading is somewhat inconsistent.
Do I expect the same (as in the above feedback about Williams) from Philips for MADM 701 ? Does anyone know if MADM with Philips has proctored exam ? Are there any word-count based weekly assignments as MADM 760 with Meeks ? How fairly are the assignments graded ? I hope it's not just graded based on the work count.
