This state has the worst collective of politicians in this country and it's not even close.
None of them are worth a shite. I long for the day where Louisiana is governed like Colorado or New Hampshire.

Goodness gracious some of you people need to meet more politicians. How many of you have met more than 3 and talked to them at length? How many committees have y'all set in on? How many times have you watched the session down at the capitol? I bet not many.
Keep forming your opinions on a person's character from your local news outlets and remain mad and bitter.

There is a reason for that. La. has a long history of devaluing the need for formal education. In the 1800s the jobs involved farming, hunting, trapping, and fishing. None of these jobs required more than a 3rd grade education.
In the 1900s construction, oil and gas moved into play. That required a 5th grade education.
Politicians realized that the average La. voter was distrustful (even frightened) by someone who went to college. So, the politicians learned to 'talk stupid.'
I know several of them personally. They told me that they learned to sound moronic to appeal to the dumb masses.
