I grew up fishing manchac. Never caught anything but freshwater species. Then one day I was catfishing and caught an 11 inch trout on a night crawler. Haven't fished back down there since. Might be going tomorrow though

Lots of redfish being caught recently in lake maurepas. What they're using, I haven't a clue. Left out of Ruddock canal yesterday going diving, and there were 3 boats within a few hundred yards of each other fishing the east bank
