yeah I'm not sure why the designed it where you can remove the back and not the battery, but battery life hasn't been an issue thus far.
I can say pretty confidently the moto x will impress you as even the moto g has impressed me coming from an s4. The galaxy has its moments, but this is overall just a better piece of equipment.
It's how android is supposed to be; thats the best way I can describe it. Get out of the upgrade cycle, the cell providers are moving away from it so go ahead and break the cycle now.

I have no doubt I'd love the Moto line. I'm running Cyanogen 11, so I'm pretty confident I'd also love stock Android. The only way I'll buy Samsung again is if I can't get past the battery issue. Samsung's bloatware completely destroys the experience. My phone runs 100 percent better on cyanogen.
