I started a similar thread some time ago. My initial thread had Accept, Alabama Thunderpussy, and fricking Exodus.
Awesome call!! A little disappointed in myself for not including them in mine back then.
I don't know how old you are Brosef, but I actually saw Armored Saint in Baton Rouge in '86. I was already a big fan of theirs. Saw 'em open for Saxon no less, at the fricking Texas Club. I COULD NOT believe it when I saw that they would be playing in Baton Rouge together, and at the Texas Club.
I brought my Delirious Nomad album and got to meet them on their bus in the parking lot after the show, where they all signed it. They were super cool, especially Gonzo. He was pretty emphatic about how much he loved the state of Louisiana so far.
Good times.
ETA: I had to make a choice that night. Just so happened to be the same night as LSU-Purdue in the opening round of the NCAA tourney, which obviously happened to be played at the PMAC. And of course that was one of Daddy Dale's final four runs. As much as I love LSU though, it wasn't a very tough choice. No way I was going to miss Saxon and Armored Saint in a club in BR. I remember thinking no one there would give a shite about the game. But when they announced the score at intermission, a huge cheer went up, much to my surprise.
