The reason our insurance rates are so high in this country is because of frivolous lawsuits and the idea that you're entitled to money every time something bad happens.

It's life, shite happens. If her employer didn't walk in and punch her in the face then they don't owe her a dime.

Yep, and this isn't frivolous. It's still their store and responsibility and liability. First off, a young girl working by herself at a cell phone store is a big problem for me. Secondly, the life you mentioned and shite happening happens much more often in the dirty than anywhere else save large metro areas. The best long term answer is distance, lots of it.
