Not trying to ruin the soccer board. I just think it is crazy to think that clicking on something titled: "Soccer Board" would not contain something about current events in the World Cup. Basically what is being asked is that everyone wait 24 hours to discuss current events.

I understand the concerns when we are talking about European league games that take place in a 6+ hours time difference and some don't watch live. You guys shouldn't expect people to hold off discussing a World Cup match that may have a spoiler in the title.

Agreed. When I can't watch something live whether it be a show or game, I stay the shite away from media that might possibly spoil the outcome for me.

i'd imagine the soccer board is the best behaved board on this site, and self-made rules are why

y'all basically are disrupting that to appease people who won't be posting in a month

it's basically a declaration of war on all the rules, which will lead to an actual declaration of (internet) war

there are plenty of threads about current events in the world cup. participate in the threads

why not tell them to discuss the match in the match thread? the thread titles will be taken care of by the regular posters who have done a good job of starting the game threads. all that needs to be enforced is keeping in-game discussion to the in-game thread and there will be no problem

If I DVR the saints or tigers I stay the frick away from the Internet/radio/social media or any other place where the game might be discussed. If you go to sports/soccer websites then you are asking for spoilers! Have some discipline and your matches won't be spoiled.
