Ftr, I disagree with beck. I lean towards if some arse needs whupping, we go and whupp it.

I'm a bit of a simple minded individual here who hasn't ever changed his thinking in this matter. It was my dads belief and one Ive always just accepted.

It's very simple minded because it disregards casualties and unforeseen effects.

I think that you misinterpret Beck's message, TM. He's just left the Neo-Con ideology/policy of promoting Democracy (in whatever way) to Islamic nations. As did Schueur. If attacked, both agree with you, re the "arse whupping". Just that we don't put our guys on the line, just our technology. The gloves off version. WWII stuff. Punish the population until they give up the fight, and turn in the troublemakers.

No small thing. "blood up to the bridle of a horse", I suspect. The World can thank Muhammad for that, when the dust settles.
