I hate the trend among food blogs making you scroll through fifty or so pictures of "how to pour water" or "what a tablespoon looks like" before they show you the recipe
I understand pictures and shite make your blog look better, but at least post the recipe near the top so I don't have to wade through your shite.
That being said, the recipe does look tasty and I've been wanting to introduce my wife to tortilla soup. I may try it with vegetable stock.

I like the pictures. Not all of them are necessary, but I like them and someone who doesn't cook much at all will find most of them very helpful. I agree with you on the location of the recipe, though. I'd like it at the top. It's easy, however, to scroll quickly to it.
I think it would be fine with a vegetable stock. Are you making a vegetarian or vegan version?
