For instance, I figure that the Kurds could buy a LOT of control over the rest of the country if they managed to break the ISIS siege of Baghdad.
I'm not sure the Kurds give a frick about Baghdad.

zero fricks but they are already shoring up their lines

So that leaves us with two options. Stay there continually or constantly intervene every time they get in trouble. Or, stay completely out and let them fight their own civil wars.
How about "not arming their fricking enemies"?
ISIS got a lot of their weapons from Syria, including US-made Stinger missiles which they've already used to shoot down at least one Iraqi helicopter.
The only thing we're not 100% sure of is if this is stuff from when we armed Libya to take down Qadaffi or if this is stuff we sent directly to Syria to take down Assad.

The truth is not an excuse once again you will use anything to shite talk Islam.
That's because Islam is a scourge to the world. I don't know how many times you will have to see what happens to a country once they are under the control of radical Islam before you get it.

The Kurds aren't going to back down like the Iraqi army did. I think ISIS knows this and will leave them alone if they know what's good for them.

They also could have got it from the Iraq forces they over ran. In the video they are just refitting with the american stuff we gave Iraq. Usually in a proxy war type situation we don't arm them with american grade weapons.

Study history. We are constantly arming one side that is an ally one day only to be an enemy the other. These groups have so many factions that war against themselves and it isn't always clear who is who.

Unfortunately, the fricking geniuses in DC seemed to arm the Libyan rebels and Syrian rebels with the good stuff instead of whatever leftover crap we had in mothballs.
It's been confirmed that the CIA was in Benghazi trying to reclaim a lot of the weapons we'd given to the Libyan rebels but never fully clarified whether the stuff we'd given them included Stinger missiles. It would sure explain why Stevens was there when the attack happened.

There is no rationalizing with people like you. Every religion has a violent past. Problem is in some regions dealing with every religion the less educated become extreme.
How about our fellow Christians in Serbia trying to genocide people including other Christians.

Balkans gonna Balkan.
There's a reason that the term for fractioning states into smaller ethnic partitions is called "Balkanization".
Those groups have been fighting each other for hundreds of years and the power vacuum caused by the lack of a strongman like Tito just let all the same old shite bubble back to the surface.

Well its mainly b/c of the nationalistic slavic views of the Serbs influenced by Russia who wanted to kill the Muslims Bosnians and Catholic Croatians. The ones who believe in one giant eastern orthodox slavic state. Sounds familiar right yup just like the Muslims we are dealing with.

No there isn't. Radical Islam wants to control the entire world and they aren't afraid to tell you about it. Do you even hear or read their own materials and statements. They are waiting on the 12 Imam to return and for Islam to physically take over the entire world and force their beliefs on everyone by the sword. If you don't believe me, maybe you can look at their own mission statements.

News flash it will never happen. If a standing Muslim ever had the capability, technology, training and logistical means to wage this kind of war. It would be the rallying call for the rest of the world and they would be crushed by the militaries of US,UK,Russia,China, Germany etc.

To a certain point this is fair. However, Islam seems to have an exceedingly violent present. I'm not all that worried about interfaith violence from several centuries ago.

SCH - you know for a fact that wasn't about religion - that was about ethnicity - it was really tribal.
Having said that, much of the ME muslim-on-muslim violence is also based in class, ethnicity, race (to a degree) and tribalism.

Doesn't mean we shouldn't nip this shite in the bud. These assholes are serious about the "submit or die" stuff so I'd like to send them to meet Allah personally rather than have thousands more US citizens get killed by them.

Exactly tribalism and religion always fuel this shite.

How many years did we stay there training and arming them? This is a very lame excuse.
The ones we trained, and are seasoned combat veterans, were never integrated into the Iraqi Army because they were the wrong religion. Al-Maliki is paying the price for his stupidity.
