Will Demps have complete authority?

Considering the strange moves Demps has made and the salary cap hell we're in, I wonder just how much rope Benson will give him. You can bet that Loomis has found a trusted former NBA GM (hopefully not named Dumars) to get advice from.
The good news is that there's little to no money left for Dell to screw up with.

I would hope Loomis would veto something like Gordon for Josh Smith if he had to, but there really aren't too many likely moves I can think of that would need to be vetoed. I am seeing a lot of Ryno for Monroe fan speculation, I'd be pretty upset if Ryno for Monroe didn't include dumping Gordon.
ETA: I think the real thing to be concerned about isn't one move. I don't think Gordon for Smith is really all that likely for instance. But I could see Gordon + Ryno for Monroe and then using the rest of the cap space on Luol Deng. I like Deng and have said in the past he could be to the Pels like David West was to the Pacers, but he's not a good shooter, and turning Gordon and Anderson into Tyreke and Monroe demands a good shooter at starting SF. If this happens you're back where you started, capped out with bad fitting pieces on newly signed deals that will be hard to trade for good value.

The more I think about it the more I think we should just hold onto Gordon until he comes off the books.
