I have seen a whole bunch of gorey videos, and to be honest, that was soft compared to what's out there, and much softer than what isn't out there.

I definitely agree with this, but I'd go further and say that, besides a select few, they have absolutely no idea what actually goes on here. Even if they did, it would be too scary to do anything about

Oh, don't think so highly of our motives. They aren't that just. If we had no economic benefit behind our actions in the ME, our government wouldn't give them a 2nd thought.
