I realize your entire political philosophy and knowledge can be put on a bumper sticker and you're simply regurgitating Fox talking points so it's not your fault. But what you said is wrong. Truth is states will never pay for more than 10% of Medicaid expansion. LINK / so while the savior's state of Kentucky sees a great response from Obamacare and an expansion of Medicaid, both of which Louisiana taxpayers will help fund, Louisiana gets nothing.

I admit I was wrong when I said it increases each year. (I think it starts off less than 10% though, and then increases to that over a span), but 10% is still a huge chunk of the budget, especially in a very unhealthy/obese state like Louisiana.

Thanks for correcting me, though.

I just do not understand why people celebrate when we put more people on a government program. It's as if these true believers believe there is no free market solution.

Also, I'd be interested to see polls about how Louisianan residents view medicaid expansion. Once Virginians were told about the immense long term costs, support went down. Jindal is not only governor for the poor, the rich, film companies, he is governor of all LA residents. If the majority do not want more medicaid, then he is doing his job. It is not his job to serve a distinct group (the rich or the poor or anyone else), at the expense of all other groups.

Amazing. The federal government could never decide to saddle states with more of this burden?

Wouldn't this mean fewer states expanding medicare equals less burden on each state's tax base? Meaning it's still good for every state's tax base for every state not to expand?

and once again, you prove you can't debate a poster without including personal attacks. It's starting to become a bore, honestly.

Until 50%+1 of Congress or an EO decides to change that.
