Anyone else watching the UM stream from Bonnaroo?

LINK

They're ok I guess. I'm watching this in an effort to enjoy the music of a jamband that isn't Phish. It's not going well.

Although this jam has been tasty

It's a shame you aren't a fan of bluegrass.

I've been listening to a little Dopapod from their Waka set. It has been bearable

All jamband vocals and lyrics are generally pretty terrible

I must say UM skill-wise is fricking great

They are all very talented

And it looks like it's a fun show. And I'm digging this stream alot.

I'm just not sure I could ever get much of a connection to their music. It's all very like...sterile. No personality.

My only thing against UM is that sometimes they go a little over the top and it just sounds like noise.

They probably have the best covers though

I love prog music, so I like what they do

Just not sure I'd want to nerd out to a bunch of prog-metal at a show. I want to noodle dance to some heady jamz, not like rock the frick out.

They've been dropping the untz a lot this show though, and that's been cool
