He had a rough year last year, but seemed to start to "get it" towards the end of the season.
Plus he, by all accounts (and awards), had a great spring. Sometimes people improve. It's easy to just give up on him like many have, but Chavis clearly hasn't.

we'll see I just don't think its a matter of effort or "getting it" with him. I'd love to be wrong and not have a terrible starting MLB this year
