Probably not. I don't see them bringing in a hulk-like character that the Hulk already beat.
If the Avengers face off against a character like that, it'll be against a rampaging Hulk himself.

IMHO Hulk is at his best when written by Peter David. He balances the fine line between Banner as a tragic/lonely figure and Hulk as a lonely/misunderstood figure with more self control than he is given credit for.
If someone can get that level of balance along with the fear coupled with anticipation of the inevitable transformation to the screen then Hulk would be the "strongest one there is" at the box office.
