Considering the NFL is pretty muched only watched in the U.S., the viewership for the Super Bowl is more impressive.
The Super Bowl had an estimated 111.5 million viewers, yes? Though viewership is not out for the 2014 World Cup (obviously), Nielsen reported that the 2010 World Cup had an estimated 111.6 million viewers in the United States. That's a 22% increase from the 2006 World Cup, which was estimated to have 91.4 million viewers in the United States.

Is it total viewership during the whole tournament?
If so, that is comparing apples to oranges.
