Dragging Stretch 25's in pink, red/white or big silver spoons close to the rigs will hook you up. Use a 65lb steel leader and black swivel to main line.

Sea witches work to.

Why you want kings? Not good to eat. Still, a nice fighting fish on light tackle.

I have my reasons... Fishing some rodeos this summer that have a king category and they make awesome big snapper bait.

Sounds like I need some steel leaders. We have plenty of trolling baits. How close to the rig are we talking?

I don't know about this.

When grilled fresh or eaten raw fresh I have never had a problem with it. It isn't as mild as snapper, and it has a distinct flavor some people probably don't like, but I don't mind it one bit.

I once made the mistake of putting a king mackerel steak on a BBQ pit. Stunk to high heaven.....ate a small piece and threw the rest away.
