Spinoff thread: SC Republicans want their place at the Fedgov money trough

As mentioned, Graham won his primary. This is what the Republicans in SC voted for:
All of this involves funneling money back home. Yet many of these same jackasses will complain about the size of the Federal Government. Just sucking on another government teat.
When it comes to government spending there is very little difference between many Republican and Democrat voters. I think I am damn near done with the GOP. I just don't want to be part of this to be honest.

Getting the MOX (mixed-oxide) nuclear waste fuel-conversion plant back on track. President Barack Obama’s Administration has threatened to mothball the project, citing billions in cost overruns and years in construction delays
• Putting together an infrastructure bill that would help build I-73, an interstate proposed from Interstate 95 in South Carolina to the Grand Strand
• Replacing the automatic budget cuts, known as sequestration, especially as they impact defense spending
All of this involves funneling money back home. Yet many of these same jackasses will complain about the size of the Federal Government. Just sucking on another government teat.

Was really hoping he would go down.

Can't say I disagree with trying to get MOX back on track, but Graham should have been primaried out.

MOX back on track,
Something has to be done, however the billions that have vanished into that black hole have vanished while Graham and Wilson were both in office. Now they both are acting outraged and 'fighting' for more money.

I am SHOCKED that a politician wants more federal money for his state. SHOCKED!
Politics attracts sociopaths and egotistical nut jobs, and 99.9% of people in politics are scum bags.

I've got the solution.
We need to change how COngress is selected.
The representatives for a state should be chosen by everyone who doesn't live in that state.
Reps for California, for instance, would be chosen by everyone in the 49 states that are not California.
Then there's no pandering to local interests.
