What is the board's opinion on "The Borgias"?

I think mine is a little biased, since I'm fascinated with that time period and particularly that family, but I just finished the first season and liked it a lot.

Which one?
Showtime version or Netflix version
Both great IMO.
Was pissed when Showtime cancelled it.

She takes them off willingly in future seasons.

I liked it. Watched on showtime.
They treat Cesare very differently depending on the historical source.

yeah I wished they would have made one more season. The potential ending that is floating around the internet sounded awesome.
[quote]As for Jordan’s vision of the true finale of the series,
“I wanted a totally biblical ending, for the Pope to burn in hell. That is how he wrote the proposed two-hour finale, with the Pope dying and no one willing to hear his confession. When they finally find a confessor and the Pope starts to repent his sins, the confessor interrupts him, saying, ‘I’m sorry, it’s too late, you’re already dead and burning in hell.’ This satisfies all moral feelings about the Pope.”
