but i average 315 yards off the tee
Probably but it's broken down like this: 240 off the tee and 75 yards in the woods

Ping G25s may be the most well rounded iron out. They'll benefit most players. If you want to drop down in price, you won't lose too much in playing G20s.
I like Adams hybrids and I think the Adams Super S fairway woods can be a shot in the arm to a lot of struggling players.
The Ping K15 driver is the easiest-to-hit-straight driver of all time and can be had for 150 bucks.
Putters are way too subjective
thanks you

dude relax, you think i'd be asking for golf club help if i really drove a ball 315 yards? come on bro
Don't call me bro.
No, I don't think you'd be asking for help if you drove the ball 315 on average.
I also don't think you'd be asking for help if you were a scratch golfer.
So here's the deal. You see the old clubs in your bag as being the problem, which indicates one of two things:
1) The clubs don't fit you anymore, and need to be replaced.
2) You want a quick fix and don't want to out the man hours in to getting better.
Both of these problems require a pro, regardless of how you may feel. So that's step one...go to a pro and tell him your problem.
Step two will be coming back here for additional advice for after you see the pro and he gives you a dose of reality.
Is that what you are looking for? Or, would you like me to link clubs that are the best bang for its buck so you can waste an average of $75 on a golf bag, $200 on a driver, $450 on irons, $100 on a putter, and $200 on wedges all so you can satisfy your ego?

you are a fricking genius!!!!!!! i thought i was gonna buy a new driver and it was gonna swing itself!!!!
You're a fricking idiot. First you claim you average 315 off the tee, but you suck a putting. Then you change it to you average 220 off the tee but your a scratch golfer. All that bullshite you've spewed just tells those of us who actually are golfers is that you don't know shite about golf. And the fact that you start a thread asking what clubs will improve your game only confirms that opinion. Only an idiot who was in your position would think any club would do shite to help them. Ignorant little smart arse punk bitch.

So you suggest either modest forgiveness, extreme super game improvement forgiveness, or modest forgiveness?

For your irons do this: go to Edwin Watts or another golf store and select 10 to 15 different 6 irons from different manufacturers & styles and hit about 25 balls with each and then narrow it down to which one YOU hit the best (as you narrow it down keep hitting balls...will probably take 3 hours to complete but you'll know which irons are best for YOU)
Driver & fairway woods - Taylor Made is the only answer
Hybrids - start with Adams

Every once in a while, you just want some shines new clubs
This is my first time buying an entire set all new at one time, I feel like a kid at Christmas.
Been playing a set of R7 irons for almost a decade, going to be very strange not seeing them in the bag.

Posted by MrPappagiorgio better equipment can take a few strokes off his game... More forgiving irons, and a fitted driver can do wonders for an average golfer's game but if hes looking for a 98 to 85 answer, hes looking in the wrong place.
That's exactly why I told him to go see a pro. Shaving a stoke here or there off his game is no real improvement. If he wants to break through that barrier to the 80s or below, real improvement, the only way to do that is with a pro giving him lessons.

I'd murder the guy in front of me if he did this.

Trying out everything is the obvious answer. But when I'm in the market, I still want to hear people's recommendations from their trying-out experiences. Obviously the OP should do something similar to what you stated.
