FYI the human body is meant to be worked hard and can take a ton of stress

i read a book called "born to run" about a group in mexico that runs a marathon every day barefoot

ive heard many doctors speak to this and they say the same. the body is meant to be worked very hard and our generation is just lazy and the lack of movement makes us sore or tired when we finally do get off the couch

There's about 3 posts in this whole thread worth a shite. More than likely it's an easy fix. Try some SMR first. A roller may do the trick but I find it a little tricky to pinpoint the backside/hams with it. But the way you're describing it, I'm thinking it's the rotators. Either way, get a medicine ball or even a basketball aired up til it's very hard. Sit on the ball on the pain side, put that sides arm on the ground behind u. Bend the other leg and that foot to roll yourself around on the ball. Just search out what hurts and spend 5-10 minutes working it out. Do this often. Maybe twice a day. It may be sore after the first time or 2. If so, back off a little. Also, back off on the running until it gets fixed. Once it's all good & you start building that mileage back up, continue doing the same thing as maintenance cause odds are it'll come back. And I know you runners well...you're gonna have to back off to fix this!!! Lol

This is the book that got me to up my miles. And lose 45lbs, which made my doctor very happy. I don't run barefoot, but I did stop buying expensive running shoes...
