I like the idea but I think that the 3.0 is too small. It makes less HP and ties the TQ of the current Ecoboost. The next gen Ecoboost will cost significantly less than the 3.0, make much more power (stock), gas cost less, cheaper oil changes, etc.
Now, the Cummins 5.0 that Nissan and Toyota will be using
Around 500 HP and 500 TQ. I imagine this engine will get the same MPG as the 3.0 too.

HP isn't typically the strong point of any diesel motor.
OP: I haven't seen very many reviews on them yet. As mentioned, that motor has been around Europe for a little while now with overall good results. I'd go check some forums like Dodgetalk or Ramforumz, can probably find some reviews from owners there...all anyone will tell you here is that Dodge/Ram sucks and you should buy a Ford anyway.
