This place is getting some extremely poor word of mouth. Don't know anyone personally who has a good thing to say about it. My kids love burger joints and we frequent most of the Uptown places but we've never tried Charcoal despite the fact my kiddos go to school down the street. Threads like this will not get me there anytime soon.

good luck with the botched PR campaign

Looks like bringing up the ghost of Vera Smith is not appreciated on Facebook by some that knew her. it may come off as a cheap marketing ploy.

I see now that the article has been out there for a while. Just happened to see a post about it today. Peoples attention spans are short, It should fade away again soon.

Charcoal's Gourmet Burger Bar This was not a PR campaign in any sense, and we apologize if public comments made it appear so. We invite you to come in and speak with co-owner Craig personally to gain a better understanding about this. None of us would ever disrespect Vera; may she rest in peace.

Charcoal's Gourmet Burger Bar Mike, please accept our sincerest apologies. This is an episode we hope to put behind us and move on. Thank you for understanding.

Literally, the ONLY good thing I've heard about this place is from the tiny handful of posters here who attempt to browbeat people into eating there. i.e., some examples in this thread.
