Besides the fact that Comcast is the worst company in America and provides maybe the worst streaming performance of any ISP, a bad configuration can impact streaming.
Make sure your on a good wireless channel if your streaming from wifi. Channels 1, 6, and 11 are non overlapping if your on 2.4ghz. If you have the ability to go 5ghz do so, much less crowded.

Didn't have any problems running it through apple tv until last night. shite kept skipping and lagging. Total BS!

Wait, what? I was not on Wifi.
This was with a direct wired connection from my Comcast modem into my PC with their fastest connection speed (Blast system).
Internet Speed Test shows Download speed of 45.24 Mbps and Upload speed of 12.64 Mbps.
I don't know if the fault is with ESPN or Comcast but the signal strength indicator (bars) at the bottom of the screen kept going up and down as the picture quality changed.
