Wow! So this administration did all of this as a distraction from the VA? And the VA debacle only just occurred. So that means the Obama administration moves with lightening speed and incredible results.
Or it could mean that conservatives think when Obama takes a shite it's a conspiracy.

Doesn't explain the father's anti-American tweets he has made in the past, coupled with the fact that this soldier was apparently a deserter, which is coming out in many places now.

These talks have been going on for a long time now. You can be sure of that.
All Obama had to do was give the go-ahead. After all, he does have a pen and a phone, amirite?
While I doubt it has specifically to do with the VA, I wouldn't be surprised that opposition to the deal was why the CIA Station Chief in Afghanistan was "outed".

It's been a couple weeks now.
It's not like it would be a hard thing to decide on for them though. 5 of their best for this one guy? How long do you think they had to consider that for?
