Honest question, is he right about the Black Keys cloning him? I like some JW, Stripes & Raconteurs, but have to tune him out as a personality. I've only scratched the surface w/BKs but have pretty much dug what I've heard.

The other comments about the derived state of music aren't offensive to me, in fact they might be necessary. In any case they're fair game since he told them to Rolling Stone, but poaching his private emails is lame.

The main thing I got out of that, was that TMZ are total garbage for publishing his personal e-mails... though thats not new news..

Is there anything redeeming about TMZ?

in terms of a stripped down, 2 piece garage blues rock band? yes. i think his point was that they aren't doing anything original but come off as cocky and arrogant like they're doing something novel (which TBK do…as does Jack).

i agree with this…

i would love to hear him talk about the state of music a la dave grohl during his grammy acceptance speech. i think musicians saying that sort of thing is awesome.
