Is this another one of those threads filled with LSU 'fans' who didn't attend the baseball game criticizing LSU FANS who actually went to the game??

That's just so precious....

I was there brah. Can't make many games living in a different city though. But all the down votes in this thread just shows how delusional our baseball fans are IMO.

My thoughts exactly. This thread is so full of stupid it's, well, the Rant.

And unless I missed something, I don't believe that the word "Cheer" would be appropriate. LSU fans (you know, the people who actually go to games) generally politely clap when the starter leaves. I clapped because I has happy that LSU had finally knocked him out of the game and we could slap around their bullpen (which happened).

Should have kept reading before essentially posting the same thing.

Honest question: how long has this been going on? The first time I remember was when UNC Wilmington took us to the brink, played awesome, diving catches in outfield, etc. They lost but some of our fans who were there witnessing the effort gave them a lap to shake hands, say nice game (and thanks for losing - ha ha). I call that showing class.

Giving a standing ovation to the opposing pitcher who has given up 9 hits (albeit half of those in-field nubbers) in 6 innings seems like trying too hard to be cool, even if it is the school down the road, some of our players are friends with the guy, etc.

The "victory lap" isn't a "hey we love you now" thing it is merely getting in the back of the line behind our team after the game to shake hands with sportsmanship. No problem with that. IF people at the stadium want to do it I got no problem.
