Anyone else think that the Battle at the Wall has been terribly set up? I remember reading and thinking like oh shite, they have 100,000 people & giants and a horn and thinking that the Watch had no chance.
In the show, I feel like they make the army seem like it's 20 people and I feel like the non readers aren't excited or worried about this. Maybe it's just me though.

Honestly I agree. The battle just has no hype for me. We are missing a ton of Jon staring out from the top of the Wall and thinking "Well frick me."

I think they set up the 102 v 100,000 pretty well

Yeah, the fact that Joffrey was there added to it in thinking they may lose this battle since that count needs to die. Allister is there, and Slynt is as well, although I doubt the Hodors have a clue who he is, but those can die without any longterm ramifications. I think they know they'll find a way to win, and some are beginning to remember that Stannis was going up there.
