It seems like there's a lot to do just by talking to people during my interview. Mountains, fishing, kayaking, I've never seen so many beautiful women in all my life, etc. I just thought it was desolate desert.

you can find plenty of places in Cali that are not expensive, just make sure to shop around extensively to find some great deals.

People seem to think that Cali is only SF and LA, there's a lot more to it than that. And the liberal thing is way overblown, there are tons of conservative people in this state.

I have skied the northern mountains (Lake Tahoe) and partied in the south (San Diego, Anaheim). Sounds like you'll get the best of both worlds.

I have been California dreaming since the last time I left...
