I have not fished craw worms in years. Going to give these a shot with some craws. I like the action and the way they are said to cast.

That style of rig is called a "Jika Rig"
It's popular for smallmouths and in lakes with rocky bottoms. In the weedy, structure filled lakes of the southeast, it has yet to catch on.
ETA: It's another technique from across the pond in Japan.

Too much underwater vegetation around here.

Seems like it'd be good for punching grass beds with tube jigs.

Yup. Let the lead lead. Wait...

Did you get them at Academy? I use a rage craw a lot and have been looking for different ways to rig them.

I now feel stupid for not just making my own.

I've used them but not like they are intended and I think that's what you're thinking here. Tucked in hollow body baits for a lower profile

Going to target some Kentuckys tomorrow. They love small craw worms.

Picked up a few when the Classic was in Shreveport. Havent thrown it much, other than on beds. The creature bait they show it rigged on is a owner yuki bug, and it is a pretty awesome combo for the stubborn bedded bass.
