Why is Peter within 1000000 miles of the machine? This is almost Slasher Film level of incompetence.

It's one episode but I fear that this whole machine plot line which spans a season and a half, is a stupid plot line that will bore us and make us want to move on. I remember season 3 being the worst of the bunch, just didn't make sense, completely changed everything, and season 3 was caused by the machine.

I loved episode 10 there is something about the observers that makes the show more enjoyable.

episode 11 was stupid, testing peter, peter killing off shape shifters, machine changes how he acts. It seemed way to forced in many ways.

They have fracking mercury for blood. How about a simple line up and finger prick, then a lie detector to test for human moles. Come on. Alien parasite invasion 101 guys.

I can't remember if shape shifters (at-least of this type) are involved after this. It just isn't convincing and it was only a big deal for the first couple shape shifter episodes.

quote:

One thing, the code for each shifter there being Olivia's name is just garbage. I guess that could be a list of the shifter's working with her and there are many others out there, but I still found that more than a little silly.

yeah I found that silly, stupid and forced.

Pretty much the writers sat there. We have fauxlivia's CPU that we now have access, astro can't figure out anything out and olivia will come in and save the day because her and fauxlivia are so similar.

She did Olive so stupid and just didn't feel write.

A few other things about the episode.

Dr. Shapeshifter told Walter that his heart rate was elevated to 130 at rest pretty much. I get the nerves but he said that should slow down. than Dr. Shapeshifter told him oh it's nothing. Maybe it was because he was a shapeshifter was because he lied but it just wasn't convincing.

The whole thing of Peter and Walter keeping it a secret at the end just felt strange. First the scene looked forced, peter had no emotion, neither did walter. Walter who has been out of a mental for institution less than a year, just sniffed chimp DNA and is well Walter, is able to keep his cool around peter with Olivia. It just felt strange, so this machine for one touch makes peter emotionless. I guess I see where they are going it just feels strange.

Another thing why would they never consider peter? He would have access to the files, why would he be left off the hook. The guy had one of the most typical blood types in the world only one person out of 20+ people have it, but they say oh well that was a dead end I guess he had the wrong blood type. Just makes no sense.

I didn't like this episode, they went away from monster of the week, which I didn't mind most of the time it was fun to see how they solved the monster of the week and seeing how all of the other plots interweaved with the monster of the week.

one more thing, I think the fact that I remember Peter was the villain from the start kinda ruined the episode for me. The episode kinda centered around that and because I knew what happened it wasn't very interesting.

Man, you really didn't like the episode.

I don't remember how long the machine is in play, but doesn't it end with the end of S3? Isn't that when Peter disappears or whatever? Or does that come later? I don't remember exactly when that is. Also, I remember that both universes work together for a while, so I'm assuming that's S4..?
