It's romaine lettuce and I deliberately used American cheese in a simple subtle way(my way)of celebrating America on Memorial Day. Yeah, we have cheddar, white cheddar, Swiss, and a couple of others but I used American cheese. It was still pretty damn good!

Absolutely nothing wrong with either of those choices. I can find nothing wrong with it. Outstanding job. I am a burger con-a-sewer...
