I've watched Brooks in both US games. He was the worst player on the field for both of them. Undoubtedly the worst. I haven't followed his Bundelisga season but it looks like he has some high highs and low lows. The high highs are intriguing, but and I don't care too much about the 4th central defender since he'll likely see 0 minutes on the field, but I'd take Goodsen. As the 4th defender, Brooks will come on only if there is a catastrophic injury (same with Goodsen). I'd rather take an experienced defender than a guy who has barely played with any of the defenders in the American set-up.
As for Green, the guy plays in the 4th Division. He couldn't do anything right in the Mexico game except fall down easily in the box. Super unimpressed with the only 30 meaningful minutes the guy has ever played.

I disagree whole heartedly on brooks. That Ukraine game was the entire back lines fault, and the fact that they had never played together. Brooks is worth taking a chance on in case he hits a peak run of form in the next month he's our only defender with the athleticism to cope with our group

Donovan also looked shitty, while Green should have had a PK given.
Brooks was partnered with Onyewu. He's also the 4th CB. The 4th CB isn't going to play, and I see no harm taking him over Goodson for the experience.
Oh, by the way, you know who was playing in the German 4th division around the 2002 WC because he couldn't make the first team for his German club, and who still got a callup?

Yeah, I'm sure you have a better idea than Jurgen of what JAB and Green can do
