I don't know how to comment on this without spoiling something for the Hodors (obviously the x + x = x theory).

I'm pretty sure I know what you're implying and am not sure it's necessarily spoiling anything for non-readers. It's more connecting dots than anything else. I don't think there's anything in A Feast for Crows or A Dance with Dragons that would give it away.

A. My son is a reader and it hasn't been revealed in the books yet.

B. I formulated my take on the theory - independently - while binge watching season 1.

I'm not going to risk spoiling it - but it remains a theory (if my son is to be believed.)
